I've been working on this roguelite diablo-inspired RPG for a few weeks. Finally got the demo out, it's here:

I have dried the rest of the yellowfoot mushrooms.

I understand that my news post have been mostly about mushrooms lately, but that's all that's going on in my life right now.

I'll make another mushroom post when I use the dried mushrooms in something.

Also my friend just beat the Helm's Deep game. I didn't think it could be beaten, but apparently it wasn't even that tough. Very crazy highscore. I hope someone beats it.

Got new beans. From Indonesia.

I've never had coffee from Indonesia before so it's always fun to try a new origin. It's quite good.
The tasting notes on the website are a bit crazy: "Taste notes: Cranberry, stewed apple, balsamico, pink grapefruit, sherbet, tamarind.". I think I get apple and tamarind.
Rating:

400-500g yellowfoot mushrooms
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
50g flour
some butter
2 dl chicken stock
4 dl cream
fresh thyme
salt
black pepper

1. cook mushrooms on a dry frying pan on medium high heat until they release all their liquid
2. continue cooking until all the liquid has evaporated
3. add butter and diced onions
4. sautee until onions are translucent
5. add flour and mix with mushrooms, cook for 1 min
6. add chicken stock and stir, cook until reduced to a small amount
7. pour in cream and add fresh thyme
8. heat until simmering, turn off heat and season with salt and pepper to taste

Went mushroom foraging today. It's probably the second most hobbit-y thing I do.

Found a good amount of yellowfoot mushrooms (my fave), I'll make a smoked reindeer yellowfoot soup tomorrow.

Bots!

Bots swarmed the website overnight. Suddenly the site had over 60 visitors (!) and I thought there's no way...

Checked the logs, and yep, bots. Did some changes and now hopefully bots won't make the visitor counter lie anymore.

Today's coffee is an Ethiopian coffee from Good Life Coffee. Pretty good. Flavorful for a washed coffee. Hario Switch, ~95C water, 15g coffee, 250g water...
I'll give it a rating. when iced. It works better in an iced coffee.

It's surprisingly difficult and involved to make a website to look old these days.

I'm not masochistic enough to make this site in PHP so it's all Typescript currently, run by Bun (bun is great btw).

Anyways, you have to kinda jump through hoops to get some things to work like they did back in the day, but I think it looks quite good now.

Time to try and put it live... If you're reading this, it succeeded.
